Making do in 2012

“Use it up,
wear it out,
make it do,
or do
without.”

I heard this quote last year and I have since repeated in my head a hundred times.  I have decided that this quote will be my theme for 2012.  I feel like it is so easy to get caught in wanting or feeling the need for things that I forget how much that I really do already have.
So this year I want to waste less--save more.  I want get creative with the things that I all ready have to stretch them a little farther than I would of in the past.
I want to breath new life into old or maybe forgotten things.  I want to think more before I purchase something or maybe----go without---gasp!:)

You see I have a ridiculous amount of fabric, notions, lace, and other crafty things.  So, this year my resolution is to sew with what I already have stacked up in my craft area  ----which is quite a lot.  I want to be resourceful and seek out projects that will use many of the items that I have stock piled some where.
So, I am warning you that this year you might see a lot of refashioning of clothes, re-purposing of what may seem useless furniture, or maybe some interesting concoctions with different types of fabric, notions, and materials.  If you feel like me-overwhelmed by your craft stash or mounting projects I invite you to join me on my crusade!
Here is to making do in 2012!
