Bag Variations

I wanted to share with you a couple of variations of the bag I posted about last Friday.  This is a picture of my friend, Lynda.  She's super fun and crafty.  She is also the mother of only boys, so that means I will love her forever.  She made her bag out of a camel corduroy for the outside and a fun print for the lining.  She made a larger version of the bag, with the bottom measuring about 20 inches.  It is very roomy.

Charlie is modeling the very first bag I made.  I followed the directions at Tiny Happy exactly, and ended up with a bag that measures about 15 inches across the bottom.  I made this bag out of some leftover grey duck cloth for the outside and a tablecloth I got at a garage sale 10 years ago for the inside.  I covered a giant button with the inside fabric, which makes it look super cool, I think.

I love sewing purses.  It is an easy project that you get carry around with you all the time and also express your individual personality.

See ya on Monday for a tutorial and a giveaway!

  1. I love the wide strap. It looks like it will sit nicely on your shoulders and not slide. I have to make one of these!
